Why Boots?
For over 170 years, we have been working to help improve the health and wellbeing of local communities since the opening of the very first Boots store in 1849.

Our mission is to help everyone to feel good. So this starts internally – with every colleague and team. Employing nearly 60,000 people, we aim to attract, develop and retain the best talent, with a huge range of opportunities, whether that’s within our pharmacies, beauty halls, support office or supply chain, if you bring your passion and commitment we can provide the support and training to develop your career.

We value our colleagues, that’s why we offer competitive salaries, generous holiday allowance, market-leading pension contributions, Boots staff discount, and access to flexible benefits such as cycle to work, private medical insurance, additional holiday purchase, gym discount and much more.
Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion is at the centre of everything we do. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. As an organisation we are passionate about embracing the diversity of our colleagues and providing a positive and inclusive working environment for all. We have a number of employee-led groups to allow colleagues to network and support each other personally and professionally, including: Women of WBA, WBA Pride Alliance, BAME, Disability Inclusion and InclusivIT.
Environment
Reducing the impact we have on the environment has been important to us for many years. In 2018, Boots UK signed up to the UK Plastics Pact, led by WRAP, to tackle plastic waste and change the way we design, produce and dispose of plastics.

In 2019 we removed our plastic carrier bags and replaced with unbleached brown paper bags. From 2020, Boots UK patients will also now receive their medicines in brown paper bags as these are rolled out to our pharmacies across the country. Switching to brown paper carrier bags has removed over 900 tonnes of plastic from our stores each year!

Wellbeing
We take the mental and physical wellbeing of our colleagues seriously, which is why we have some great resources to support employees including; a dedicated Colleague Health team, free support and counselling through LifeWorks and access to the Boots Benevolent Fund, a registered charity that offers support to current and former colleagues in the UK during times of financial hardship.
