At AMP our mission is to ensure that our clients show up visibly, attractively, and with high credibility in local search results. We’ve been helping independent, family-owned business grow and succeed in their communities for 25 years.

We’re developers with a passion for simplicity; sales professionals with the highest regard for small business owners; and marketing and fulfillment experts with an eye on getting every detail perfect. Together we’ve built wholly owned ad-tech solutions that create game changing results, and we’ve grown to become the trusted marketing partner to tens of thousands of longstanding customers.
Leadership Development Program
Whether you are new to the company or a long time veteran, in an operations role or working in sales, all are welcome at the leadership development program (LDP) hosted 4 Saturday mornings each year in our Dekalb, IL headquarters. Usually based around a book or a theme, AMP employees come together to hear a presentation, share great stories and struggles, to ask questions and get advice. The room is always full of positive people looking to grow both personally and professionally. We believe that the mingling of different perspectives from top sales people to support specialists, from the CEO to IT Developers keeps our company culture dynamic. Though they may not remember the book, many employees reference their attendance at LDP as a turning point in their career or personal life helping them to move forward in a new way.

The meeting is always completely voluntary. SO if you are ready to listen, laugh, share, and be a part of something bigger than just yourself, we’d love to see you at our next leadership development program

Careers - Sales
KEVIN NORTON - SENIOR ASSISTANT DISTRICT SALES MANAGER

Graduate of Illinois State University and Keller Graduate School of Management.

“When I originally joined AMP in 2015, my family and I were moving back to our hometown to be closer to family. I had spent much of my career in Information Technology related fields. I was burned out and wanted something different. I asked my dad for advice on a new career and he said, 'Well Kev... you are no genius... and you aren't going to win any beauty contests, so maybe you should try sales.' Soon after that 'pep talk', the recruiting department contacted me and I started my career with AMP the following month."

We are in a results based business. Hard work, tenacity, and discipline pays off. I don't compete against other sales representatives, I compete against myself. I love setting goals for myself and then achieving them.

My favorite part of the job is being able to help small business owners advertise and market their businesses at an affordable price. Small family owned businesses are the backbone of America. What first attracted me to AMP was that it's a small, family run business. I felt like I would have a larger impact in my position and not be treated like a 'rank and file' employee as I would have been treated with larger corporations.

AMP is a very open organization, meaning that all levels of the leadership team are available and approachable. It is a sales organization and we are compensated well. It is a family run business, which is exactly who we help."
Careers - Inside
TAYLOR WARD – Inside sales assistant district manager

Graduate of the University of Missouri

“Having been with American Marketing & Publishing since January 2017, I have a clear perspective of everything AMP. As a graduate from the University of Missouri with a major in health science, a minor in business, and an emphasis in sales, ambition is not something I lack. I am always striving to do better and be better than I was yesterday. After my first few months here I received a promotion to Senior Account Manager, and the doors of possibility were opened.

The room for growth is endless and encouraging. American Marketing and Publishing is an ever-changing and evolving company that is always offering new opportunities to advance.

In addition to the notion that if I work hard, bigger and better things will come, the positive atmosphere at AMP is something else entirely. It is the reason that I enjoy coming to work every day. The work life balance and the relationships I have with my superiors as well as my coworkers have allowed me to continue to push myself to be the best that I can be, while still having fun!”
Careers - Corporate
CHELSEA JOLLY – DIGITAL VERIFICATION SPECIALIST

“My career here at American Marketing & Publishing started in May of 2017 when I received a phone call from a hiring manager about an open position. I had just updated my resume and knew I was looking for three things; I wanted to work with and be able to help people, I wanted to learn everyday and I was looking for something that allowed me a bit of family time. I had floundered about in various customer service jobs working my way up from basic retail to bookkeeping at a local grocery store, followed by serving to then managing at a local restaurant, but ultimately going back to the drawing board after realizing my heart wasn’t in it.

When I learned about the company culture at American Marketing & Publishing, I knew this would be a place for me.

I’ve always been a natural leader but I had never successfully learned how to manage until my career here at AMP. I not only get to help our small business owners get found better online so they get more daily business, but also I have been able to help grow a team, and help the individuals on my team to find their own successes. I’ve been with AMP for about a year and a half and my journey has already been one of immense growth, and I am beyond excited to see what I can do at AMP in the next year and a half!”
